NOTICE

RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE/FIRE (MALE)-2017

Receipt of online application: 11/12/2017 to 11/01/2018  Closing date: 11/01/2018 (upto 5:00 PM)

Online applications are invited from Male Indian citizens for filling up the temporary posts of CONSTABLE/FIRE in Central Industrial Security Force in the pay matrix Level-3 (Rs.21,700-69,100/-) (Pre-revised Pay Band – 1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-) plus usual allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees from time to time. On their appointment, they will be governed under CISF Act and Rules as well as Central Civil Services Rules applicable to other members of the force from time to time. On appointment, they shall be entitled for the pensionary benefits as per the “New Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme” applicable for the new entrants to the Central Government services w.e.f. 01-01-2004. The recruitment process will consist of Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Examination and Medical Examination. The salient features of the recruitment are as under:-

(i) Application from candidates will be accepted through ON-LINE MODE only at CISF website https://cisfrectt.in. No other mode for submission of application is allowed.
(ii) Candidates should also not wait till the last date of application to avoid a situation where they are deprived to fill up application due to reasons of crash of website due to heavy influx of applications and delay attributable to technical errors.
(iii) Physical Standards Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Documentation, Written Test and Medical examination will be conducted at respective Recruitment Centers as per schedule.
(iv) Candidates belonging to SC/ST category and Ex-Servicemen, eligible for reservation are exempted for payment of fees. All such candidates must submit requisite certificate in prescribed proforma from the competent authority to prove their status. Failure to produce certificate in the prescribed format will render their candidature to be cancelled at PST/PET stage itself.
(v) The Call letter/Admit card to candidates will be uploaded on the website https://cisfrectt.in at each stage i.e. for PST/PET & documentation, Written Test and Detailed Medical Examination during the recruitment process.
(vi) Only those Candidates who qualify in PST/PET & documentation will be called for OMR based Written Examination. The written examination will be bilingual i.e in English & Hindi.
(vii) After completion of PST/PET, documentation and Written Examination, State and category wise merit lists for (UR/SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen) will be drawn separately in respect of each State/UTs on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the written test.
(viii) The final selection of the candidates will be made in order of merit in each category and allotted vacancy to each State. List of selected candidates State/Category wise will be uploaded in CISF website.
(ix) The candidates who find place in the select list as per the available vacancy in each category in the State will be called for Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
(x) The candidates will be medically examined in accordance with revised uniform guidelines issued vide MHA UO No.A.VI-1/2014-Rectt(SSB) dated 20th May’2015 and instructions issued from time to time to assess their physical and medical fitness.
(xi) The list containing names of LWE/Militancy affected districts is available at Annexure-VIII.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

(a) Educational qualification 12th pass with science subject or eauivalent Qualification from a recognized Board / University. Educational certificates other than State Board/ Central Board should be accompanied with Govt. of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to 12th Class pass with science subject for service under Central Govt.
(b) Age limits (For Direct candidates) Not less than 18 years and not more than 23 years as on the closing date for the receipt of applications from candidates (i.e.11.01.2018). Candidates should not have been
born earlier than 12.01.1995 and not later than 11.01.2000. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, Ex-Servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the Central Government orders on the subject as under.

Upto 8 years in upper age limit for OBC Candidates.
(v) Children and dependent family member of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat.

In order to be eligible for upper age relaxation in this category, the applicant should produce a certificate to that effect from the concerned District Collector/District Magistrate wherein the victim was killed.

NOTE: This advertisement pertains to recruitment of Constable/Fire (Male), therefore, only male children and male dependents of victims KILLED in the 1984 riots and communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat will be considered.
(vi) Ex-Servicemen (a) General/Unreserved – 03 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.

(b) OBC – 06 years (3 years + 3 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.

(c) SC/ST – 08 years (3 years + 5 years) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the date of reckoning.

(c) Physical Standards Height Chest
(i) For all candidates {except the following categories} 170 Cms Minimum 80 CM with minimum expansion of 05 CM.
(ii) For candidates belonging to hill areas of the Garhwal, Kumaon, Himachal Pradesh, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, Sikkimies, Kashmir Valley and Leh & Ladakh regions of J&K and North Eastern States subject to production of Certificate as per Annexure – IV. 165 Cms Minimum 78 CM with minimum expansion of 05 CM.
(iii) Tribal or Adivasis including Mizos and Nagas subject to production of certificate as per Annexure – IV. 162.5 Cms Minimum 77 CM with minimum expansion of 05 CM.
(d) Weight Proportionate to height and age as per medical standard. Weight will be recorded at the time of physical measurements but the decision on fitness on account of weight will be taken at the time of medical examination.
(e) Medical Standard
(i) Candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
(ii) Eye Sight :- The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. They should possess high colour vision.
(iii) TATTOO :- Berne a secular country, the religious sentiments of our countrymen are to be respected and thus, tattoos depicting religious symbol or figures and the name, as followed in Indian Army are to be permitted.

Location:-Tattoos marked on traditional sites of the body like inner aspect of forearm but only left forearm, being non-saluting limb or dorsum of the hands are to be allowed.

Size:-Size must be less than % of the particular part (Elbow or Hand) of the body.

(f) ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR EX-SERVICEMEN CANDIDATES :-
(1) Ex-Servicemen who are Lance Naik or Sepoy in the Army or equivalent rank in the Air Force or Navy are eligible to apply for the post of Constable/Fire. Ex-Servicemen holding the rank of Havildar/Naik or equivalent rank in the Army/Air Force/ Navy may also compete in this recruitment for lower post provided they fulfil the eligibility criteria and shall also furnish their willingness in writing that in the event of their selection they will not claim the post equivalent to the rank they were holding in the Defence Forces.
(2) An “Ex-Servicemen” means a person ;
(i) who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in the Regular Army, Navy and Air Force of the Indian Union; and
(a) who either has been retired or relieved or discharged from such service whether at his own request or being relieved by the employer after earning his pension; or
(b) who has been relieved from such service on medical grounds attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his control and awarded medical or other disability pension ; or
c) Who has been released from such service as a result of reduction in establishment ;
Or
ii) who has been released from such service after completing the specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own request or by way of dismissal, or discharge on account of misconduct of inefficiency and has been given a gratuity; and includes personnel of the Territorial Army, namely, pension holders for continuous embodied service or broken spells of qualifying service;
Or
iii) Personnel of Army Postal Service who are part of Regular Army and retired from the Army Postal Service without reversion to their parent service with pension ; or are released from the Army Postal service on medical grounds attributable to or aggravated by military service or circumstance beyond their control and awarded medical or other disability pension ;
Or
iv) Personnel who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for more than six months prior to the 14th April 1987 ;
Or
v) Gallantry award winners of the Armed forces including personnel of Territorial Army ;
Or
vi) Ex-recruits boarded out or relieve on medical ground and granted medical disability pension.
(3) Break in Service: Should not be more than three years from the date of discharge from Army/Navy/Air Force as on the date of closing of receipt of application from candidates i.e. 11/01/2018.
(4) Age : They shall be allowed to deduct the period of Army service from their actual age and the resultant age should not exceed the maximum age limit prescribed for the post of Constable/Fire by more than three years. The upper age limit shall be further relaxable up to 05 years in case of SC/ST and 03 years in case of OBC candidates on production of caste certificate in the prescribed format. The crucial date for determining age limit will be the closing date for receipt of application from candidates i.e. 11/01/2018.
(5) Medical Category: Should be ‘AYE’ or ‘SHAPE-I’ at the time of discharge. They should also possess the same medical standards prescribed for direct recruits for the post of Constable/Fire.
(6) Character on discharge Exemplary/ Very Good. Copy of discharge certificate may also be attached.
(7) Education Qualification 12th pass or equivalent with science subject or equivalent educational certificate of Indian Army, Air Force or Navy.

The application must be submitted only in the ONLINE mode to the concerned CISF Zonal DIsG (Regional Recruitment Centres) as mentioned below against each States. The procedure for submission of online application is incorporated in Annexure-I and also available on the website. Candidates may note that online application will be accepted at CISF website https://cisfrectt.in only. No application will be accepted offline.

MODE OF PAYMENT
The candidates belonging to General and OBC categories should pay the fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees one hundred only) as examination fee through following mode.

  • Through SBI Challan. (Payment of examination fee through Challan will be accepted upto 13/01/2018 and thereafter services will be disabled)
  • Net Banking through any bank.
  • Credit/Debit card of any bank.
  1. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Ex-Servicemen those who are eligible for reservation are exempted from paying fee.
  2. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumsta nces.
  3. Fee paid by modes other than as stated above, will NOT be accepted.
  4. If a SC/ST candidate, applied from General Category due to non availability of vacancy in reserved category in their State or any other reason, they are also exempted for payment of fee,.
  5. Fee paid before 11/12/2017 i.e. opening date of online application form will also not be accepted.
