ESSO-NIOT, Chennai, a technical arm of the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, is planning to carry out EIA studies at Parangipettai, Tamil Nadu. In order to carry out the sampling and analysis, the institute is hiring Adhoc Scientist, Senior Project Fellow, Junior Project Fellow and Lab/Field Assistant on contract basis with a consolidated salary by walk-in-interview.

> Candidates satisfying the above requirements may attend the walk-in-interview along with their original marklists/ certificates and a set of attested copies of the same in proof of qualification (matriculation onwards), age, experience and testimonials.
> Candidates should bring a photo identity proof at the time of verification of certificates/ marklists.
> Candidates should bring recent passport size photo for the interview.
> Reporting time: 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM. Candidates reporting after 10.00 AM will not be allowed to attend the interview.
> Candidates awaiting their results for the required qualification(s) are not eligible to attend the walk-in interview.
> No TA/DA will be provided for attending walk-in interview.
> The number of positions may vary depending upon the requirement of the institute.
> Age relaxation will be provided for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates as per GOI rules.
> The age limit will be calculated as on the date of interview.
> The positions advertised are purely temporary in nature. Candidate(s) selected as Project Scientist, Senior Project Fellow, Junior Project Fellow and Lab/ Field Assistant shall not be treated as regular employees of ESSO-NIOT and shall have no right implicit or explicit for their absorption in ESSO-NIOT as regular employees.
> Selection committee may conduct a written test before the interview, if necessary. The test will be based on the required qualifications for the respective positions.
> The date of the walk-in-interview is 28.05.2014.
> The venue of the interview is ESSO-National Institute of Ocean Technology, NIOT Campus, Velachery-Tambaram Main Road, Pallikaranai, Chennai – 100.
> No interim communication will be entertained with regard to the conduct of the interview.
> The decision of the competent authority shall be deemed final.
