Indian Coast Guard offers opportunity for three year technical diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics for recruitment to the post of Yantrik for 01/2014 batch. Starting emoluments on joining Rs 20,000/-(approx) per month. Selection procedure through written and physical efficiency tests, followed by medical examination. The recruitment centres are at Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Noida, Paradip , Kochi, Gandhi Nagar, and Visakhapatnam.
Eligibility Criteria-
(a) Educational Qualifications: Matriculate and three years Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronic Engg. with 60% in aggregate from Board/Institute recognized by Board of Central/State Government. (Maximum 5% relaxation in the above percentage for SC/ ST candidates, sports person of National level and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service). Qualifying percentage may be increased if more number of applications are received for a particular centre. Candidates from “Open Schools/institutes” not registered with the Govt, are not eligible.
(b) Age: 18-22 Yrs (Born between 01 Feb 1992 to 31 Jan 1996). Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.

Important Instructions: (i) Cut off percentage of a particular centre will be decided depending upon the number of applications received and the handling capacity of a particular centre, (ii) Selection of candidates is based on the order of merit depending on their performance in written test, physical test (PFT) and fitness in the medical examinations.
