SPECIAL RECRUITMENT DRIVE FOR OBC AND ST CANDIDATES FOR THE POST OF POLICE CONSTABLE (EXECUTIVE) IN ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR POLICE
Applications are invited from eligible OBC & ST candidates for the post of Police Constable (Executive) in Andaman and Nicobar Police. The number of post, scale of pay and eligibility conditions arc given below: –
1. Name of Post – Police Constable (Executive)
i) No. of Vacancies: 83 (71 vacancies for OBC and 12 vacancies for ST candidates of A&N Islands) Note: Vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the requirements at the time of final selection.
ii) Pay Band + Grade Pay: PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
iii) Eligibility Conditions:

ii) Female: 18-33 years for OBC and 18 to 35 years for ST candidates

2. Physical Endurance Test
The candidates who qualify after physical measurement shall undergo a physical endurance test as per the following standards.
|a) 1 mile race (to be completed in 7 minutes)||a) 0.5 mile race to be completed in 5 minutes.|
|b) 4 feet High Jump ( 3 chances will be given)||b) 3 feet High Jump (3 chances will be given).|
|c) 12 feet Kong Jump (3 chances will be given).||c) 8 feet Long Jump (3 chances will be given).|
Note: – Candidates have to qualify in each event of Physical Endurance Test, otherwise they will be eliminated at that stage itself.
3. WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The candidates who qualify in Physical Measurement and Physical Endurance Test will undergo a written test. The paper will be set both in English and Hindi. Candidates will have the option of answering in either language except for the portion of language paper, which will contain questions on Hindi and English both.
The question papers(s) will cover general knowledge, reasoning, simple arithmetic, test of language and essay and will carry 85 marks.
The candidates who qualify in the written test will be subjected to an interview of 10 marks by a selection board. During the interview the overall personality, aptitude, attitude and general awareness of the candidates will be judged.
