NIOH recruitment of Scientist B and Scientist C

Applications are invited upto 3rd September, 2012 for three posts of Scientist ‘B’ in the Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600-39100 + 5400 (Grade Pay) and one post of Scientist ‘C’ in the Pay Band of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- plus NPA, at the National Institute of Occupational Health, Ahmedabad / Regional Occupational Health Centre at Bangalore / Kolkata.

Post No. (I) Scientist ‘B’ (Statistics/Biostatistics) (Reserved for Orthopaedical Handicapped (PH))
Essential Qualification:
(i) First Class Master’s Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University Or 2nd class M.Sc. with Ph.D. degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University.
Desirable qualification:
(i) Doctorate Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in medical/health subjects in recognized Institute(s).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.

Post No. (2):  Scientist ‘B’ (Chemistry) (Unreserved):
Essential qualification:
MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or First Class M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University or Second Class M.Sc. Degree with Ph.D. Degree in (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University.
Desirable qualification:
(i) MD or Doctorate Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional Post Doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects from recognized Institute^).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Post No.(3): Scientist ‘B’ (Chemistry) (Reserved for OBC):
Essential qualification:
First Class M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/ Biochemistry) from a recognized University or Second Class M.Sc. Degree with Ph.D. Degree in (Orgaruc/Analvtical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University. Desirable qualification:
(i) Doctorate Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional Post Doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects from recognized Institute(s).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Post No.(4) Scientist ‘C (Medicine) (Unreserved):
Essential qualification:
(i) MBBS Degree recognized by MCI with two years experience or equivalent Or First Class Master’s degree in required subject or equivalent degree from recognized University.
(ii) Four years research experience in the relevant subjects after obtaining essential qualification.
Desirable qualification:
(i) M.D, or Doctorate degree in the related subjects from a recognized University for a candidate with 1st Class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institutes).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools/Data Management.

Age:
Not exceeding 35 years for Scientist ‘B’ and not exceeding 40 years for Scientist ‘C.’ Relaxable up to 5 years for Government servants and SC/ST/OBC candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.

General Relaxation clause: Age, qualification and experience will be relaxable in deserving cases as mentioned in the Recruitment Rules of Health Research Scientists Cadre of ICMR, 2007 under Rule-14 and Notes 1 & 2 of Schedule-Ill.
