University of Mysore requires Scientist and JRFs – 2014

Applications are invited for the posts of ONE Scientist and TWO Junior Research Fellows to work in research project on “Increasing yields of millet and sorghum by a new and sustainable seed technology strategy” sponsored by the European Union.

Essential Qualifications:
One Scientist: Ph.D Degree in Biotechnology/Botany/Microbiology with at least five years of research experience in the area of seed health.

Emoluments: Rs.35,000/-per month plus HRA as applicable

Two Junior Research Fellows / Project Fellows: M.Sc. with First Class in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Botany.

JRF: Candidates with NET qualification with a fellowship of Rs. 16,000/- per month Plus HRA for two years and Rs. 18,000/- per month plus HRA in third year.

Project Fellows: Non-NET candidates are considered as Project Fellows with a Fellowship of Rs. 14,000/- per month plus HRA and Rs. 16,000/- per month plus HRA in third year.

Application on plain paper containing full particulars of Date of Birth, Qualifications, Experience. Publications. M.Sc., Project/Dissertation work etc., should reach the undersigned within 10 days from the dale of appearance of advertisement.

The selection will be held through an interview. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for interview.
