Army Recruitment Rally for Outstanding sportsmen & Musicians, Andhra Pradesh

ARMY TO BEGIN RECRUITMENT RALLY ON 05 AUG 2013 IN SECUNDERABAD (ANDHRA PRADESH)

The Army recruitment rally under unit headquarters quota will be held at AOC Centre, Secunderabad from August 05 – 25, 2013 for enrollment of outstanding sportsmen & Musician (open category) into Soldier Gen Duty & Soldier Tradesmen in addition to the standard Unit Headquarters recruitment.

Outstanding sportsmen (Open Category) are required to report at the Thappar Stadium, AOC Centre Secunderabad at 8 am on 03 August 2013 for sports trial.

Outstanding sportsmen in the field of Football, Handball, Cricket, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, and Kabaddi who have represented their state or India either at senior or junior level or represented the university in the inter-university tournaments or represented state school teams in national sports or games for school teams in national sports or games for schools Games Federation or represented the inter district school teams in the inter district sports or games for schools conducted by the state school games federation, can participate alongwith their certificates, according to a press note. The certificate should not be more than two years old.

Musicians (Military Band only) – (Open Category) should report on 05 August 2013 at 6.00 AM at Thappar Stadium, AOC Centre.

Age Criteria:
(a) Sportsmen – Age limit 17-1/2 to 21 Yrs. Educational Qualification: Matriculation / SSC with 33% in each subject & 45% aggregate (Candidates having Cert of State Edn Bds incl CBSE. who have adopted Grading Sys must have a min of D grade (33-40) in each individual subject and overall aggregate of C2 grade or 4.75 pt). No marks restriction in 10th class for highly educated person.
(b) Musician (Military Band only) – Age limit 17-1/2 to 23 Yrs.

Note: Negative marking of 0.5 marks will be awarded for incorrect answers in Common Entrance Exam of Soldier Gen Duty & Soldier Tradesmen Category.
